The seat maps on SeatGuru had been redesigned and because some were solid-colored and others were outlined, there was some confusion from a user standpoint. Nowhere on the page did it explain to the user what each color meant. By creating a modal window that popped-up when the user landed on the page, it helped to explain what the colors mean. It also helped explain to the user how to go about using the seat maps and calls out some of the features and benefits. I designed for desktop as well as for iOS and Android.
